I made this plein air painting while on a camping trip going down Highway 1. Being from Southern CA, I am always struck by Northern CA’s incredible cliffs. They are much more dramatic, dangerous, and majestic in my opinion. Also, I’ve noticed the color of the water is slightly different. It’s so much fun to look closely at the nuances of nature.
